Bring your kids down to come and learn how to throw and turn a simple cup, pot, bowl or plate on the potters wheel with our experienced throwers and ceramic artists.

We’ll take you through the basics – how to centre the clay on the wheel, how to throw a simple pot, and with a pre made piece show you how to shape (turn) a piece. 

You can select 2 pieces to have glazed and fired.

Price $75/person – Includes 2 final glazed pieces.

Your finished pieces will be ready to collect from the studio after 10 – 12 days or we can organize postage at an extra cost paid in advance.

Please note: For children under 16 parental supervision is required but you are welcome to join in or grab a coffee from next door and watch.

Additional info: Extra pieces from wheel throwing will be charged $20 / piece includes glaze and firing.

This is a non-refundable payment rescheduling may be possible on a case per case basis, 1 alteration only).

We also do accommodate private studio experiences (on or off site) upon request.

At the end of the class, our team will record the details of your preferred glaze colour and/or finish and additional payments.

The pieces that you created are likely to shrink up to 20% from their actual size.

Your piece will be ready to collection within 4-6 weeks.

1 extra piece from Wheel Throwing and Hand building experience can be purchased as an extra cost per piece per person. Please note that our teachers will trim and glaze your piece for firing. 

Clay is natural product and from time to time mishaps happen while the drying process is taking place. 

Be assured we will take utmost care to avoid cracks or irregularities. However if your piece is damaged, we will gift you a piece from Big Bite Studios.

You will be notified about the imperfection in your final piece/s. Thank you for your understanding.

COLLECTION OF WORK

Guest will be notified you when your work is ready for collection. We can arrange postage at an extra cost paid in advance during class. Please ask about shipping costs during your class. 

All work must be collected within 2 weeks due to space issues, uncollected work after this period will be donated to local charity.
